Large animal medicine is generally just like it sounds. It is the larger species of animals including but not limited to horses and other equine species, cattle, sheep, goats, swine and other livestock, and even some exotic species such as llamas and alpacas.
It takes special care and expertise to treat large animal patients, so our medical team is comprised of highly trained and knowledgeable animal health professionals who have experience with large animals. They make use of our special facilities designed to handle large animals, but also recognize that there are those times that situations with large animals dictate that we must make home or farm visits, and we are equipped to do that as well. We understand that large animals have unique needs, and their owner may face challenges in providing veterinary care for them. We promise to work with you to the best of our ability so that your large animals receive the best care possible.
